I am joining the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism as a Visiting Fellow for the fall.
It is a tremendous honour to be able to spend the Michaelmas term at the institute at the University of Oxford.
During the fellowship, I will focus on how the future of journalism is being shaped by innovation practices, business models and policy frameworks, building of the work of the Global Journalism Innovation Lab.
The Reuters Institute accepts a small number of Visiting Fellowships from senior journalists or scholars working in fields related to its research projects.
I am one of two Visiting Fellows at the Reuters Institute. The other is Barkha Dutt. She is one of India’s best known broadcast journalists and the founder-editor of digital platform Mojo Story. During her Visiting Fellowship, she will look at the intersection of media, populism, politics, freedom and democracy.
My UBC colleague Mary Lynn Young was a Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute in 2016.
